During my time at AFA JCDecaux, Gyldendal launched a campaign promoting a new Wimpy Kid book across our digital screen network at major Danish train stations. To bring the static book cover to life, I created a series of subtle motion design elements inspired by the underwater theme. The title gently floats on the water surface while small air bubbles rise from the bottom of the scene. At the same time, the main character briefly shifts his gaze toward the viewer, blinks, and waves before returning to his original pose — creating a playful moment of interaction designed to capture attention in a busy transit environment. The goal was to stay true to the recognisable book cover while using motion to add a small layer of storytelling that would help the campaign stand out on digital screens. The client was very pleased with the final result.
